Breast Augmentation

The breast augmentation, indicates the operation of increasing the volume of the breast, combined if necessary, with achievement of greater symmetry between the breasts and maintaining the function of the mammary glands. The preliminary visit to the surgeon is aimed to understanding the problem and assessing the general situation of the patient and the specific expectations: patient and surgeon will decide together how it is best to proceed and which are realistic expectative, also with a view to maintaining or improving the harmony of the body. For breast augmentation, we usually use Dual-plane /Multi-plane technique, which consists in inserting the prosthesis under the pectoral muscle or under the mammary gland .This technique allows to stabilize the prosthesis under the muscle and at the same time to obtain a remarkable result with a soft and natural curve. In other cases, however, we proceed with the technique of inserting sub fascial prosthesis, recommended as a rule for those who already have a well-formed breast level. The incision can be done around the areola or under the mammary fold.  The surgery is performed under general anesthesia and requires one or two night of hospitalization, according the complexity of the intervention.Breast augmentation is done to: Enlarge breasts that are naturally small. Restore breast size and shape after pregnancy, weight loss or breastfeeding. Restore symmetry when the breasts are asymmetrical.
